Pakistan Legends defeated West Indies Legends in the World Championship of Legends 2024

In another success for Pakistan Legends in the World Championship of Legends, they defeated West Indies by 29 runs.

In the match played at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, Pakistan Legends' captain Younis Khan decided to bat first after winning the toss and set a target of 195 runs for West Indies Legends. The West Indies team managed to score 165/9 in their 20 overs.

While batting first, Pakistan Legends scored 194/8. Kamran Akmal scored 7 runs before getting out. Sharjeel Khan made 35, Sohaib Maqsood contributed 22, and Shoaib Malik played an innings of 54 runs to lead the team's score. Shahid Afridi scored 16 runs, and Aamer Yameen added 29 runs.

In reply, only 2 West Indies batters performed well, with opener Dwayne Smith scoring 65 runs and Jonathan Carter contributing 34 runs.

From Pakistan's side, Sohail Tanveer took 4 wickets, Shahid Afridi took 3, and Wahab Riaz dismissed 2 players.

Pakistan had previously lost their first match to Australia by 5 wickets.
